The Horse

A new era in rope horses.

The conversation is different here. SEVS Judgement Day is perhaps the most exclusive opportunity in all of team roping—a proven, hauling head horse whose foals cash in on barrel racing's richest incentives, too.

The gray stallion first saw success with Hillary Hilzendeger in the barrels and Cody Hilzendeger in the heading. When life changed for his then-owners in the fall of 2023, he sold to 2020 PRCA World Champion Header Colby Lovell at the Barrel Futurities of America Sale—and turned plenty of heads at the Clay Logan Open shortly after.

Lovell has seasoned him at the highest levels of rodeo and jackpot competition since: a placing at the 2024 Bob Feist Invitational, back-to-back CPRA Finals, and more than $60,000 earned in limited outings. Then came December 2025—Clay Smith's NFR mount, adding $44,894 in ten rounds at the Thomas & Mack.

When the team at Theorem Ranch went looking for a stallion to complement their great sire Stevie Rey Von, SEVS Judgement Day was the obvious choice. He'll continue in competition with Lovell under the Theorem brand while standing to the public in 2026.

"I thought he was a real-deal head horse from the first steer I ran on him. He can go anywhere, and I think he can be one of the best head horses at the highest level."—Colby Lovell, 2020 PRCA World Champion Header
December 2025 · Las Vegas

Proven on the sport's biggest stage.

Ten rounds at the Thomas & Mack is the hardest test in team roping—the fastest cattle, the smallest setup, the brightest lights. In 2025, two-time World Champion Clay Smith trusted SEVS Judgement Day with his season, and the gray answered every night.

Ten go-rounds against the fastest teams in the world left no question about the engine, the mind or the durability. That kind of proof can't be claimed on paper—it has to be earned in the arena, and he earned it in front of the whole sport.

Score, run, rate, finish—the traits that make an NFR head horse are the exact traits breeders chase.

Two Arenas, One Stallion

He ropes for a living. His foals are paid everywhere.

Most rope horse stallions can't offer barrel racing eligibility. Most barrel sires never faced a steer. SEVS Judgement Day is enrolled in the richest incentives on both sides of the arena—a rare double for breeders who want options.
